The MM2H agent list, and how to use it
There is one MM2H agent list worth using, and it is the official register on mm2h.gov.my. Everything else — including any ranked "top 10 agents" page you find — is either marketing or guesswork. We don't publish our own list, and the reason matters.
Where the official list is
MOTAC — the Ministry of Tourism, Arts and Culture — maintains the register of companies licensed to submit MM2H applications. It sits on the official portal at mm2h.gov.my. That register is the only authoritative list. It is also the only one that gets updated when a licence is granted, suspended or revoked.
Check it yourself, on the government site, in your own browser. Not a screenshot. Not a PDF someone emails you. Not a licence number quoted in a sales message. The most common way people get caught out is accepting second-hand evidence of a licence that either never existed or has since lapsed.
How to read it properly
- Match the exact legal entity. Trading names and licensed company names frequently differ. The licence must belong to the company named on the contract you sign and the account you pay into. This gap is where most "my agent turned out not to be licensed" stories begin.
- Check the licence number format. Licences follow the MM2H series — for example MM2H810. A number that doesn't fit that pattern is a flag.
- Confirm they're currently listed, not historically listed. Licences are suspended and revoked. A company that appeared on the register in 2023 may not be there now.
- Expect a real Malaysian presence. Licensed companies must hold RM 200,000 in paid-up capital, lodge a RM 200,000 bank guarantee, pay an annual licence fee and maintain genuine business premises. No legitimate agent operates purely online from outside Malaysia.
Why we don't publish our own ranked list

What to check before you sign with anyone

Always ask for an itemised quote separating the government fee from the agent's own. A single bundled number prevents you checking whether the government portion has been marked up — the most commonly reported billing complaint in this niche.
If an agent isn't on the list
Then they cannot submit your application, whatever they tell you. There is no informal route, no expedited channel and no way to apply directly yourself.
